About Lockett Yee
Based in Maryland, Lockett has followed his passion for photography for over 30 years. Weddings have always been his specialty using a combination of traditional and photojournalistic techniques to meet the needs of his clients. He has evolved from using film in 35mm and medium format cameras to embrace and become proficient using the latest technology in professional digital photography.

As a member of Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI), he is constantly learning new techniques and ways to improve and add value to the photographic story album he delivers to his clients. His photographs in themselves are wonderful, but being able to combine a collection of them to tell the wedding story is essential. This is an area where he excels.

He is a firm believer in networking with other photographers and vendors in the industry and is constantly working to improve customer service. Continuous education and staying fresh in evolving trends is invaluable and are aspects that define and refine his photographic style.

My Style and Artistic Statement
Since my early days in photography, I have had the pleasure of working with and taking photographs of some amazing people in different and beautiful venues. Whether I’m photographing participants at one of the many sites of the last Presidential Inaugural Ball, family environmental portraits, corporate events, birthday/anniversaries, or weddings, I thoroughly enjoy the interpersonal action and energy of each event.

Each wedding is different and special. The diversity of people, their personalities, and the various settings make each wedding challenging, interesting, and fun. I enjoy having the opportunity to quietly capture the energy, emotions, and the love of these precious moments as they unfold through traditional poses and as a photojournalist. These moments are exciting and so very special. Photographs become lasting and valuable memories for the family and future generations!
